Run Gail! Run!

February 26, 2010

Making positive changes in your life the changes you want (the changes that will really make a difference) can be hampered by our negative core beliefs.

I have recently decided to join an online Health & Fitness program.  I decided to educate myself in regards to exercise and nutrition….ugghh!  One of my goals is to drop a dress size and tone up.

There are various activities that I partake in, from goal setting, exercises, nutrition, to meal planning.

Throughout this process I unearthed a negative core belief that I have held about myself.  Could you imagine my surprise? I was totally unaware that I even had this in my kitty…sneaky little thing!

Want to know what it was?

Mountain Story – Life Story

February 18, 2010

A son and his father were walking in the mountains.

Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!”

To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!”

Curious, he yells: “Who are you?”

He receives the answer: “Who are you?”

And then he screams to the mountain: “I admire you!”

The voice answers: “I admire you!”

Angered at the response, he screams: “Coward!”

He receives the answer: “Coward!”

He looks to his father and asks: “What’s going on?”

The father smiles and says: “My son, pay attention.”

Again the man screams: “You are a champion!”

The voice answers: “You are a champion!”

The boy is surprised, but does not understand.

Then the father explains: “People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.

It gives you back everything you say or do.

Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.

If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.

If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.

This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; Life will give you back everything you have given to it.

Moral of the story:

“Your life is not a coincidence.  It’s a reflection of you!”

Love Is a Choice

February 14, 2010

Love is unselfish, understanding and kind.

For it sees with its heart and not with its mind.

Love is the answer that everyone seeks.

Love is the language that every heart speaks.

Love can’t be bought – it is priceless and free.

Love, like pure magic is a sweet mystery.

Love is a choice you make from moment to moment.

In*spired Thought

February 8, 2010

“Be seduced by the attractiveness of your goal. Inaction leads to impotence. Taking purposeful action immunizes you from ‘Goal Parkinson’s,’ a long, slow goodbye to your dreams, talents and destiny.”

Achieving Lasting and Positive Change

February 5, 2010

There is little doubt that change is one of the defining characteristics of modern life.  Look how fast technology changes..phew!

Have you ever made a positive change you’re really excited about, only to have your energy and passion start to disappear as you discover that it’s harder than you think?

Don’t despair…

Roger Von Oech said it best when he said: “There are two basic rules of life: Change is inevitable and everybody resists change.”  Resistance to change is an embedded survival instinct.  Also how often have you found yourself in a situation that changes and you then find yourself experiencing a cycle of emotions?  Rest assured they are natural and inevitable.  This innate resistance to change occurs because most people like things to be comfy and familiar.

Geez, it’s comfy to hit the snooze button on a cold winter morning rather than pound out of bed and throw on your gym gear and strap on your sneakers isn’t it?

The two main forces to creating positive lasting change in your life are the two BIG SELFS.

Let me explain…

The First Agreement

February 1, 2010

You can measure the impeccability of your word by your level of self-love. How much you love yourself and how you feel about yourself are directly proportionate to the quality and integrity of your word.

When you are impeccable with your word, you feel good; you feel happy and at peace. You can transcend the dream of hell just by making the agreement to be impeccable with your word.

Right now I am planting that seed in your mind.

Whether or not the seed grows depends upon how fertile your mind is for the seeds of love.

It is up to you to make this agreement with yourself: I am impeccable with my word.

Nurture this seed, and as it grows in your mind, it will generate more seeds of love to replace the seeds of fear.

This first agreement will change the kind of seeds your mind is fertile for.
